Road Trip Day 3

9:00am – Roadside Station Kirara Ajisu, Yamaguchi

Another day starts at a Roadside Station. Roadside Station Kirara Ajisu has all the typical things available at these types of establishments such as fresh produce, souvenirs, and bakery, but they also had a mochi-making facility as well! We tried a azuki bean filled mochi for breakfast.

From there we drove an hour into Yamaguchi City.

11:00am – COFFEEBOY, Yamaguchi

We grabbed coffee and sat down to get some work done at COFFEEBOY in central Yamaguchi.

1:00pm – Mocchimo Pasta, Yamaguchi

Had lunch at Mocchimo Pasta. This was one of the three spots I had in my schedule to stop by on this trip. I got a pesto pasta with bacon and eggplant, and my brother got a seafood mentaiko cream pasta. Both were delicious, with wonderfully chewy textured noodles. Also got a long garlic bread and half-sized pizza to share. (So much carbs! )

5:00pm – Iwakuni, Yamaguchi

Walked around the Iwakuni Station area until my friend got off of work.

7:00pm – Toyomaru Suisan, Iwakuni

Dinner and drinks at an izakaya in the Iwakuni shopping street. This place wasn’t bad, but not great. Wouldn’t recommend any of the cocktails though…

9:00pm – Home for the night

Stayed at our friends place in Iwakuni for the night.

Watched random episodes of random anime and called it a night.
