Road Trip Day 5

10:00am – Marifu Coffee Roasters, Iwakuni

Started another day with breakfast at Marifu Coffee. Got a few hours of work in before setting out on our long drive.

1:00pm ~ 9:30pm – On the Highway

We drove for almost 8 hours straight on the highway, only stopping twice to fill up on gas and use the bathrooms.

10:00pm – Raku Spa, Hamamatsu

We made it to Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka and looked around for an onsen. We found Raku Spa that was open until 1:00am. Here, you can choose to stay for 90 minutes or an unlimited time. Aside from their onsen, they have a restaurant, massage chairs, and plenty of space to relax and read books.

Although I would have loved to stay and relax for longer, we were tired from the long drive, so opted for the 90 minute package. The onsen was very spacious with both indoor and outdoor baths, and a large sauna enough to fit 20 people. I did three sets in the sauna and got out just a minute before getting charged extra for overtime.

12:00am – Roadside Station Kakegawa, Shizuoka

Although we didn’t do much today, the long drive was tiring enough to knock us out right around midnight.

Also just realized that I took zero photos today…

Tomorrow: Hamburger steaks in Shizuoka!
