I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time organizing my thoughts.
They say it’s good to write them down, but that for me, that just takes the information from my brain and puts them on paper for me to forget about. I tend to lose pieces of paper I write on and never open up a notebook that I write my to-do list on…I’ve also seen somewhere that Shohei Otani does mandala charts to achieve whatever he is working on and tried that too, but it ends up the same as my to-do lists…
Any suggestions?
I’m 90% sure that I won’t look back to this to-do list for a while either, but I need to unload some information to make some brain space, so here is my to do list for the rest of January 2025:
TO DO January 2025
- Use up Komeda Coffee drink tickets (3 tickets left)
- Go to the sports center in Kawasaki (5 tickets left)
- Go to the chiropractor in Shin-Maruko (9 tickets left)
- Go to pilates at any zen place pilates (51 tickets left)
- For this one it is 2-4 tickets per class
- Schedule laser hair appointment (3 times left)
- Clean the car and organize things to fit better
- Plan my girlfriend’s birthday
- Pre-pack for Hawaii trip (I don’t actually leave until February 11th)
- Make space on my phone
- Move photos/videos to hard drive
- Get rid of apps I’m not using
- Organize this website
- Map out what type of pages I want and how they will be linked to each other
- Make a template of the information I want on each page
- ex. countries, prefectures, cities, cafes, restaurants…
- Write and publish pages
That’s all I can think of for now, but I’m sure there are other things that will pop up. I know I won’t be able to do all of these this month, but having them typed up like this gives me an idea of what I can be doing at those times when I think I don’t have anything to do.
I don’t think this is a great example, but if you are ever feeling overwhelmed or your brain is overheating from all the things you need to do, it’s feels pretty good to get it all out one time. Even if you know you won’t be able to check it off today, this week, or even this year, having it on your list will help keep it in your peripherals.
Cheers to trying to be productive!
